Fibre Optic Light Sculpture

Droplet reveals the microscopic organisms suspended in a droplet of water.
Setting out to make the unseen visible, this work is inspired by specific diatoms and phytoplankton found in water samples taken from Pukekura Park lakes. The 3D light drawings, (made from fibre optics) magnify and illuminate the importance of these microscopic life forms that are so critical to the production of oxygen in the earths atmosphere.
